Leicester City has appointed
Steve Cooper as their new manager following the departure of Enzo Maresca, who
moved to Chelsea. Cooper, previously the manager of Nottingham Forest, signed a
three-year contract with Leicester City. His appointment comes after an
extensive search and due diligence process that considered several candidates,
including Graham Potter

Cooper, who was sacked by
Nottingham Forest last December, had been without a job for six months. His
previous managerial successes include guiding Nottingham Forest back to the
Premier League for the first time in 23 years and ensuring their survival in
the top flight.
Before his tenure at Forest,
he managed Swansea City, leading them to the playoffs twice, and he also had a
successful stint as England U17s manager, winning the FIFA U-17 World Cup in
2017.

Leicester City`s chairman,
Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, expressed excitement about Cooper`s vision for the
team, emphasizing his ability to develop players and implement a dynamic style
of play. Cooper himself expressed pride in his new role and looks forward to
working with the talented squad to achieve shared ambitions in the Premier
League.
